Façade

It's one of those French words that pops into the English language because the English couldn't make up it's own words and then cry havoc when some non native English speaker mis-pronounce a word in English. It's a noun meaning "the face of a building, esp. the principal front that looks onto a street or open space", when use in the figurative sense as most people do it means "an outward appearance that is maintained to conceal a less pleasant or creditable reality".

They say it takes a great mental capacity to maintain this, by this I meant the English language.




and yes I can see the irony in this post, I am so adapt in irony I should be the king of Ironforge.
